Résumé
The chapter describes the activity carried out by COST 2100 on Body Area Networks (BANs) and is organised into three sections: the first section discusses the applications and requirements; the secon section presents the activity on channel measurements and modelling; finally, the third section addresses the existing transmission technologies and describes the results obtained for PHY, MAC and NET layers; low power design is also addressed.
